Yes, RentEye is designed with privacy in mind. Our sensor does not record or store any sound or personal data. Instead, it measures sound intensity in decibels (dB) to ensure compliance with noise regulations, without ever capturing conversations or sensitive information. Protecting your guests’ privacy is our top priority.

How can the RentEye sensor help protect my apartment from vandalism?

RentEye helps protect your apartment by detecting potential issues early. It monitors noise levels and alerts you if they exceed acceptable limits, allowing you to take action before any damage occurs. Often, a quick reminder to guests, before the party gets out of hand, is enough to resolve the issue and prevent costly repairs.

What happens if a guest disconnects the sensor?

RentEye includes tamper detection to ensure continuous monitoring. If the sensor is disconnected or there is a power outage, you will receive an immediate notification. For extra security, the sensor can be protected with a special clamp to prevent intentional removal from the socket, ensuring uninterrupted operation and reliable reporting.

What do I need to set up RentEye in my apartment?

Setting up RentEye is quick and easy. All you need is a Wi-Fi connection and an available electrical socket. Simply plug the sensor into any room, such as the living room or hallway, and use our mobile app to connect it to your apartment’s wireless network. The whole process takes less than 5 minutes.

What is the maximum apartment size that can be covered by a single noise sensor?

For optimal accuracy, we recommend placing one sensor for every 45 m² (480 sq feet). This ensures reliable noise monitoring across the entire space. If you have multiple sensors in one apartment, you can easily differentiate them by assigning names like “living room” or “corridor” for more precise monitoring and control.

Do you offer sensors with all types of electrical plugs?

Yes, RentEye is compatible with all major plug types. Our sensors are available with plug options suitable for Europe, the UK, and the USA. This ensures that you can use RentEye seamlessly without the need for additional adapters, no matter where your property is located. You can select the appropriate plug type during checkout.

Can I manage multiple properties with RentEye?

Yes, RentEye allows you to manage multiple properties with ease. You can add several apartments to your account and install multiple sensors in each one. This feature is particularly useful for landlords with more than one rental property, providing convenient monitoring and management of all your locations.

Can I add employees to my RentEye account?
Yes, you can add employees to your RentEye account. They can be assigned to specific properties, with limited permissions to add new sensors, view data and receive notifications, but without the ability to change property settings. This makes managing multiple locations easier and more efficient.
Does the use of the RentEye noise sensor require a subscription?

Our noise sensor does not require any subscription. Noise alerts, real-time noise level monitoring, and access to the last 24 hours of history in the app are available for life to all users. The feature to send daily reports in PDF format is also available without any additional charges.

Delivery costs and times vary depending on where the parcel is to be delivered. The average delivery time is between 3 and 6 working days.

You may return the RentEye (i.e., the device) for up to 14 days after delivery for a full product refund. The product must be returned in the same condition as you received it and in the original packaging.
